2024 was the first year I entered awards - the competition always seemed too daunting for me. The entrants and finalists are brands that I admire a lot and many of them cast a much broader net than my lil business. I truly sent these testers off feeling glad to have taken part, but not expecting much. The judging process is very rigorous, involves a lot of professionals in the cosmetics industry and is lengthy! So it sure is nice to get this kind of recognition!

Sourcing high quality, ethically produced and harvested ingredients has always been the most important part of the process for me. I wouldn’t want to make these products without access to information about where the ingredients come from and how they are grown, processed and traded. I’ve always worked with predominantly organic ingredients.
